Usage based ADSL is perfect for internet broadband users requiring a specific amount of bandwidth each month but with the added benefit of being able to exceed the monthly contracted amount whenever the need arises. When the contracted bandwidth is exhausted, the system can add additional bandwidth in 1GB increments up to 50% rounded up of the contracted bandwidth. This happens automatically without human intervention. For example, if the client purchased the 5GB Usage Based ADSL Service, the system will allow the client to use up to 8GB in any month without any break in service. The additional usage will be billed at the end of the month in which it occurs as over utilization. The system is setup to send a daily notification of bandwidth usage showing what has been used and what remains for the current month.
The performance of this service is subject to the ADSL contention ratios managed by Telkom and is not in the control of Technology Concepts
Pricing starts at R72.00 per month for 1 GB and Overage is charged at R80.00 per GB.
